General directions to the service
The map below depicts the approach to South Street from Main Street (which is also Rt. 96 North out of Ithaca). As you progress through Trumansburg, you will note South Street on your left at the corner flanked by the Methodist church and the Philomathic Library. Turn down South Street (left if coming from Ithaca, and right if coming from the North). Your destination is 49 South Street, two doors past the Ulysses Historical Society on left of South St.
Parking options for able bodied folks
Note, there is another event in town the same day. Parking may be difficult, especially on Main Street.
- Off street:
- along School House Lane and in the Middle School parking lot, take the route shown in yellow in the map below. Parking locations are represented in orange.
- Please leave the spaces designated in green free for valet service.
- On street:
- along South St. - pull as much off road as possible.
- along Camp St., found to the right off South St. when coming from Main St./Route 9
Valet service for those needing extra help
- Drive to 49 South Street. The Valet post is in the drive.
- Request valet service from the friendly staff at the umbrella. Your name will be written on an envelope, along with the make model and color of your car.
- A cart will be brought to convey you to the back of the house where the celebration will take place.
- Your car will be parked in the Ulysses Historical Society lot. If exceptions have to be made, the location will be written on the envelope as well. The keys will be put in the envelope, and kept in a box at the Valet stand.
- When you need to leave, call or text XXX-XXX-XXXX to request your car be brought around, and to request a cart back to the Valet stand.
