Some examples of savings or benefits seen so far:

  • Chinese approval plan - Any savings to account for?  This was Cornell’s first experience with shelf-ready materials.  I need to investigate the financial and service impacts of this. JTK
  • Springer ebooks/Protocols/Materials - $XXXXXXX over 3 years.  The 2CUL arrangement was used as a template for NERL, though the 2CUL terms are slightly more favorable overall.
  • Sage Research Methods -
  • Slavic and Latin American studies 2CUL Selectors - Several purchases of e-resources where the selectors secured favorable pricing by initiating Cornell and Columbia purchasing simultaneously.
  • Oxford Bibliographies Online
  •  SAE Archive - I was unable to get further discounts than the previously negotiated 10% off and waiver of maintenance fees.  But that represents $7,000 off and $500/year savings. However, I did get the vendor to extend the offer to last through the end of Jan, since I know getting this done by Dec 31 is unlikely. - Jill Powell
