To set permissions on Tableau Dashboards for a particular permissions group (e.g., FBO), you must change the permissions in the two "3-dot" dropdowns highlighted below in yellow:. In other words, you must resassign the user permissions in the functional area folder where the dashboard lives as well as on the dashboard itself. The folder is just a name. The user permission groups must still be assigned when you publish or republish dashboards.
