Anne Langley has been in her position at Penn State since mid 2015. Before that, from 2010-2015, she was the Director of Scholarly Communications and head librarian, Science and Technology Libraries at Princeton University where she led implementation of the faculty created OA policy and oversaw the design and establishment of the Princeton institutional repository. Before that she was the head of the chemistry library and coordinator of the science and engineering libraries at Duke University for more than eleven years. She has held leadership positions in the Coalition for Open Access Policy Institutions (COAPI), completing her post as past chair in 2016.
