DEA 1500 class Writing in the Majors section did two rounds of evaluation 1 pre-opening and 1 post-occupancy. Documents are attached.
Some relevant observations included ideas such as:
- Noise issues (conflicts between individual and group study; no audio on Knowledge Bar))
- Need enough space to spread out
- Better lighting and more inviting color

Noise is still an issue, as is uncertainty about how loud people can talk given that the Bissett space is between two technically quiet areas (or at least perceived as quiet areas)Most activity in the afternoon (groups between 12-4) and evening (more individual study)Most groups between 2-4 people (though some over 5 people though those groups tend to spit into smaller groups)Still confusion about how the tech works (esp. for nontechie folks)Pretty even split between people who want space to stay where it is and people who would like it elsewhere (most popular place to move: 1st floor rear)Lighting could be betterFurniture's still nto moving much and screens not at all
