Goals from the former CPD Mentorship Program Goals (for revision): 

1. Ensure new librarians feel welcomed and supported as they begin their Cornell careers.
2. Provide non-academic staff pursuing library science degrees with support and guidance as they embark on a career in librarianship.
3. Foster collegiality by encouraging all librarians to participate in the mentoring program and thereby share their knowledge and expertise with newer staff.
4. Provide a mechanism for assisting librarians through the promotion process.
