- Preform a item search using either the Z39.50 search feature in Ares, or the on-line catalog.
- Once the record is located hit CTRL+F1 on your keyboard to activate the macro.
- The macro will prompt for different pieces of information. Please answer all the prompts for the information you would like updated in Ares.
- The last prompt will ask you to click on the Monograph or Serial tab of the Ares Edit/New Item window. Please do so and click on the OK button of the macro. The macro will now go through all the fields in Ares and update the information you entered.
- Verify the information in the Ares window and click on Save to update your record.
| Note: The macro will only update fields where text has been entered in on of its prompt boxes. If no text was entered it will pass by the field and continue to the next field. |
