Solar Panel Construction using EVA film instead of SylGard 2 part silicone.
Members: Coral Keller, Katharine Lu, Eve Burkhart and Elise Goldfine
The team is building solar panels using 3" x 6" solar cells, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate film and a commercial backing material. The team has developed a vacuum system for smoothing the EVA sealant while melting and curing the foam using a specially built solar box cooker. The system is inexpensive and robust.
