From: "Information Technologies Special Bulletins" Please excuse duplicate messages you might receive as a result of CIT's efforts to provide this information to deans, directors, and department heads; the Cornell Univ. Financial Forum; Cornell's Computing Directors; the IT Managers Council; Net-Admin-L; and the telecomm coordinators list. ---------------- Effective July 1, 2007, the rates for data ports and standard WAN usage will decrease. Most other rates will remain at FY07 levels. Please note two important changes that will take effect beginning in the current fiscal year: 1) Starting Apr. 2, 2007, CIT will begin prorating the fees for voice and data services. Fees will be assessed based on when services are begun or ended. (Currently, CIT charges the full monthly fee regardless of the start date.) CUTV fees will not be prorated, per our vendor contract. 2) Starting Apr. 2, 2007, CIT will change the fee that units are billed when they submit requests for moving, adding, changing, or disconnecting voice and/or data services (MACD requests). Currently, a unit is billed $30 per order, whether that order contains a single or multiple MACD requests. Beginning in April, CIT will assess a $5 fee per individual MACD request. Historical data indicates that this change will not increase what most units pay for MACD requests.
