What is CUL Online Exhibitions

...

?

The CUL Online Exhibitions application at Cornell enables librarians, curators, and other approved content experts to "showcase digital content in easy-to-produce exhibits...without having to develop their own project interface or use a proprietary system" (from Spotlight at Stanford). The Online Exhibitions application is built with Spotlight, an open source software originally built by Stanford University Libraries to serve the (familiar) need for highlighting library digital collections with limited IT resources. By creating an online exhibition at Cornell, exhibit curators are empowered to create their own browsable and searchable website with curatorial descriptions, metadata records, about pages, and more, all without requiring CUL-IT support.
