Drive letter conventions (Windows auto-mount)
Hopefully CU-level or A&S-level needs for drive letters will not end up conflicting with conventions used by ChemIT staff or others in CCB. To assist in coordinating drive-letter choices which may impact ChemIT or CCB in general, one can use this chart to predict collisions. :-)
The value of the coordination is especially true as relates to Windows policy-based drive letter assignments. ChemIT employs Windows policies using the below drive letter conventions, and thus reinforcing these drive letters in users' minds. This can facilitate conversation among users, as well as with ChemIT support staff.
