Comment: Migrated to Confluence 4.0

This registry contains brief descriptions, outcomes, and evaluations of the various projects, investigations, and tests conducted in TSI Phase 2.  Please follow the template immediately below to record information about completed work.  It is important to record what has been tried and failed, considered but ruled out, etc. as an additional indicator of the work level of the collaborative effort and as a means to assess what initiatives should be carried forward or reconsidered when we have a shared system.

Please note that entries in this registry are not intended to replace more detailed reports and conclusions related to complex investigations and projects.  Links to such reports and other documentation may, however, be included in the registry.

Representation on the CONSER Operations CommitteeAmazon Corporate Account

Description: Explore potential use of Cornell's tax-free Amazon corporate card to order material for Columbiathe possibility of joint representation for 2CUL on the CONSER Operations Committee

Date proposed: Summer July 31, 2013

Responsibility: Monograph Ordering Cataloging Working Group

Documentation: None

Conclusion: Success

Cost/Benefit: Columbia now has its own tax-free account with AmazonRecommendation: One-time gain resulting from 2CUL collaborative discussion's Principal Serials Cataloger will represent both Cornell and Columbia on the CONSER Operations Committee, and report back to both institutions. PCC/OCLC agreed to let us use the cost savings to fund a BIBCO Representative, at least for 2014. Sarah Elman will have her travel funded to attend the BIBCO portion of OpCo.  Estimated annual cost savings from reduction in Cornell travel expenses = $800.

Assessment: Permanent commitment to integration of our contributions to the development of national serials cataloging standards. Precedent for information sharing and reallocation of cost savings for conferences. There is also a national impact with Les Hawkins saying "we realize that shared technical services departments may become more common in the future. We have added the topic to the PCC Steering Committee Meeting agenda in June."
