  • The macro asks the user, through two message boxes, to enter the AresID Ares ID and barcode for the item being pulled and placed on reserve.
  • Using the AresID Ares ID the marco macro opens a search dialog box and opens the Edit/New Item window for the item. The macro then checks the Loan Period field and places the barcode in the Barcode field.
  • The marco macro then changes windows to Voyager and preforms performs a search for the item using the barcode. It then opens the Edit Item window and changes the Temp. Location and Temp. type field to correspond with the Ares record.
  • The record is then saved in and closed in Voyager and the macro switches back to the Ares window.
  • The marco the macro then initializes the save command, waits 3 three seconds for the record to update and then places the record in the Available at Desk queue.
