Initial Login and Device Setup
After installing CrashPlan, you will need to login for the first time.
If not auto prompted, start CrashPlan's GUI from the Start Menu - C - CrashPlan - CrashPlan .
You will be prompted for a Username and for a Server Address.
- Username is your Cornell netid email address.
- Server Address is: clients.us2.crashplan.com
After you click Continue, you will go through the normal CUWebLogin with DUO process.
If you have never used CrashPlan before, you are done, and CrashPlan will begin backing up your home folder on the computer.
If you have used CrashPlan before, CrashPlan will ask if you want to Add a new device or Restore an existing device. Choose Add new device. Crashplan will then begin backing up your home folder on the computer.
You can close the CrashPlan window as backups will continue in the background.
