Tony Satterthwaite is vice president of Cummins, Inc., and is the president
of Cummins’ distribution business Cummins Distribution Business segment. The segment is the primary
pri¬mary sales, service and support channel for the company and employs
approximately 16,000 people worldwide. Since 1988, Satterthwaite
has
held a number of leadership roles at Cummins. He was the President president
of
Cummins Power Generation, led the Company’s Southeast Asia region,
and the Power Generation business in Asia-Pacific. He was named managing
man¬aging director of Power Generation’s operations in Ramsgate,
England,
in 1999 and promoted to vice president in 2001. Before joining
Cummins,
Satterthwaite was a general field engineer for Schlumberger.
He holds
a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford
University
and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Cornell University
Uni¬versity.
Externally, Satterthwaite is a director of IDEX Corporation.
He
has recently moved to Indianapolis and is looking forward to
getting
involved in the local community.
