This document details the methods by which these batch processing statistics  are derived, including information about tools and files used, and where they may be found. These statistics must be gathered from various Access reports, from multiple databases.  Some statistics are required for the department-wide spreadsheet that is shared with Library Administration; some are for inter-departmental use. The department-wide spreadsheet can be found at L://tsstats/LTS_Stats_2005-2017.xlsx (See image below).

Note: LTS managers need to be able to count the number of discreet batch jobs that are run each month, as well as the number of records that are loaded and/or edited via batch processes each month. Not all of this information can be gathered via the existing LTS statistics database. Rather than reworking that complex system, a simple set of queries could be written to run as (a) monthly chron job(s). There may be a need to refine the queries and/or reports, pending feedback from the managers. For a description of how these figures should be gathered, please see "Chron Jobs for Batch Stats Retrieval: $x and $h Counts."

The portion of this spreadsheet devoted to Batch Processing includes these categories:

...

3.) The resulting table should be delivered to the Batch Processing Supervisor for review.
