If if a sponsored NetID gets created or reactivated (yearly, say), this is in and of itself insufficient for library resources. to secure library resources for that Sponosored NetID.

Usually it is not appropriate to extend access to the Library's licensed resources to folks who have a Sponsored NetID. In the rare cases it is required, it is possible to confer continued Cornell Library access to someone who leaves.

A NetID is required so the Library's system can know who you are, but any specific sponsored NetIDs need NetID needs to be authorized by the library for contentto access licensed content from that NetID.

ThusTo do this, the PI's group must coordinate their sponsored researcher's library needs with the Library access folks. PI's and/or end users should contact libpublicservices@cornell.edu with an explanation of the need and a length of time the need exists.
