  1. Find system's IP address. Use ChemIT inventory, CU AD, or go to the machine itself:
  2. Go to DNS DB to change the IP address.
    Click on "Host list" at our CIT network tools page.
    1. Confirm Lookup the current IP address
    2. Determine new address (including subnet change, if any)
    3. Edit the subnet for the IP Address
    4. Note available address #. number (10.space, different regular, etc.).
    5. Find & Edit and edit the existing DNS Entryentry.
      1. Change the IP Address & address and save.
    6. Alternate - Delete Alternatively, delete old DNS entry.
      1. Note all DNS data entries - MAC address, CNames, notestnotes, etc.
      2. Delete existing DNS entry.
      3. Create new dns DNS entry with an available address on the desired subnet.
      4. Add all needed info from the original DNS entry.
    7. Select and Use links at:
    CIT network tools
    => "Host list"
