Michael L. Goguen has been a Managing Partner at Sequoia Capital for over 16 years, where he focuses on infrastructure and technology investments investments. He is a Director of Cellworks, Click Security, Clickatell, Infoblox (BLOX), OpenDNS, Quantenna, R2 Semiconductor, ThinkCash, Tula Technologies, Versa, vIPtela, and Virident. Michael led Sequoia's investments in Ardent (CSCO), Avanex (AVNX), LitePoint (TER), LogLogic (TIBX), MaxComm (CSCO), Monterey Networks (CSCO), Navini (CSCO), Netiverse  Netiverse (CSCO), NetScreen (JNPR), Pipelinks (CSCO), Redback Networks (RBAK), Spatial Wireless (ALU), Springbank (CacheFlow), Versatile (VTSS), VitalSigns (ALU), and Yago Systems (Cabletron). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1996, Michael spent 10 years in various engineering, research and product management roles at DEC, SynOptics and Centillion and was a director of Engineering at Bay Networks (Nortel). Michael also served as a Technical Chairman of the ATM Forum. Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering  Engineering from Stanford University.
