- International visiting non-degree undergraduate and graduate students, who will be research interns at Cornell for a period of six months or less, are eligible to participate in the program.
- To begin the application process send the following 3 items to Monroe Weber-Shirk
- Applicant's letter of interest
- Ask a faculty member from your university to and send a letter of recommendation
- Fill out and submit the PIRIP application form
- Deadlines: There is some flexibility, but it must be somewhat timely so that visas may be obtained.
- Spring admission - October 15.
- Fall and Summer admission - March 15.
- Student research interns must be sponsored by a faculty member and their participation in the program approved by the sponsoring faculty, the department/school Chair/Director, and David Gries, Associate Dean. The applicant can fill out the form and then forward it to
Tuition Fellowship and Fee
- All participating PIRIP students (both summer and academic semester) must register as "Regular Registrants" through Continuing Education and Summer Session.
Spring PIRIP 2009 Fee = $1010 X 25% X 12 credits = $2,910.00
