- PIRIP is administered as a special program through the School of Continuing Education and Summer Session.
- International visiting non-degree undergraduate and graduate students, who will be research interns at Cornell for a period of six months or less, are eligible to participate in the program.
- Deadlines: There is some flexibility, but it must be somewhat timely so that visas may be obtained.
- Spring admission - October 15.
- Fall and Summer admission - March 15.
- Student research interns must be sponsored by a faculty member and their participation in the program approved by the sponsoring faculty, the department/school Chair/Director, and David Gries, Associate Dean. An approval form is attached and should be filled out and signed at the department/school level and then sent to David Gries (gries@cs.cornell.edu) for approval well in advance of the student's arrival on campus.
