  • The first variable that is set is the pattern used to set the location for the Bib and Item Records to the Current Reserve location.
  • The macro? check to see which window in Ares is open. If the "Check Items in from Instructor" window is open it asked asks? that the user select selects the redo they so? it won't to import need? importing into Voyager. It then open opens that item in detail view.
  • From the detail view the macro collects all the information need needed to create the item record in Voyager.
  • The macro then asks the user to open voyager Voyager and open the Item screen.
  • The macro then prompts if the item being add needs a bib record. If it does it will also ask if it is a book or not. After the user has confirmed and cleared all these windows the macro enters all the information and pauses.
    • If the use user indicates the item does not need a new bib record, IE i.e. there are already personal copies on reserve with the same title, the user is asked to open that title's item record. The macro then proceeds to open a New item Item screen and enter the information to add an the item and holdings record.
  • The use user is asked to confirm all the information that the macro has imputed imported into Voyager. Once done the user clicks OK on the macro's dialog, and the macro Closes closes the Add Item screen and saves the new record in Voyager.
  • The next step of the macro is to open the MARC view, and collect the BIB id and paste it into the Ares Item detail.
