  1. In Ares either have the Item screen or the Check in form from Instructor window is open.
  2. Type CTRL+F2 to active activate the macro.
  3. Select the item asked to by the macro.
    1.     Formthe From the Item window this is clicking click on the Monograph tab. A small box should appear around the word Monograph as illustrated here.
    2.     For the Check in form from Instructor you want to select the item in the list view that you would like to add to the system. Selected items will turn blue.
  4. Click OK on the macro. The macro will proceed to open windows, if in the Check in from Instructor view, and copy data.
  5. You will be asked to enter a copy number for the item being added.
  6. You will be asked to enter the barcode for the item you would like to add to Voyager.
  7. You will asked to open Voyager and open the Item screen in voyagerVoyager.
  8. Click OK on the macro.
  9. You will be asked if the item being added needs a new bib record added as well. If this is the first or only copy of a item then you will want to select Yes; if not select No.
  10. If you selected Yes in step 9 you will be asked it the item being added is a book or not. If the items item is a book select Yes, otherwise select No. Go to step 12.
  11. If you selected No in step 9 you will be asked to open to the item containing the other copies of the item you are currently adding. Please do so and click and click OK.
  12. The macro will fill in all the information gathered from Ares and place it in the appropriate fields in Voyager. Please confirm that all the fields are correct and hit OK on the macro.
  13. The macro will now save the Voyager Recordrecord.
  14. For the last step the macro will open the the Marc view of the record and retrieve the BibID Bib ID that is needed in Ares for linking. It will refocus on the Ares Item record and add this number in the appropriate field. Once this has been done The the macro has finished and it is safe to proceed with processing.
